FAQs
I have never used a spot corrector before, how do I use this?
This is a unique format that requires the bottle to be stable (DO NOT SHAKE THE BOTTLE) - the two different layers (Pink sediment at the bottom and clear solution on top) need to be seen distinctly. Before bed (after cleansing and toning), dip a cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Directly apply on the surface acne/whitehead/blackhead; do not rub it in. Let the spot dry before going to sleep and rinse off in the morning. Do NOT use on broken skin. Do not apply to the eye or lip area. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with water.
Why can’t I shake the bottle?
You must resist the temptation to shake the bottle. If you shake the bottle, you will dilute the product and you will not experience true results. The key to the success of this product is its twopart formula. The layers have to be distinctly separate.
How often can I use this spot corrector?
This should be used at night - Apply directly on the acne spot/spots. For full effect, depending on your skin/skin type/lesion size, we recommend repeated application on the particular spot, till it has dried out completely. Pro Tip: This product is designed to dry out the acne spots, so make sure to not skip using a moisturiser and sunscreen the next day. It is important to add back the moisture to your skin as part of your overall skin care to avoid dryness and breaking skin.
How fast can I see results?
In an independent clinical study (1x/day overnight application) the following results were recorded:
After overnight application:
1. The total acne lesion count reduced by half
2. Size of blackheads reduced by almost 70-80%
3. Size of whiteheads reduced by almost 80-85%
No new acne lesions appeared in 86% patients in 14 days.
For full effect, depending on your skin/skin type/lesion size, we recommend repeated application on
the particular spot, till it has dried out completely.
I ordered this product and the layers came mixed up (the pink sediment & clear solution) what should I do?
If the Overnight Acne Spot Corrector is shaken, place the bottle on a flat surface until the layers separate and the pink sediment rests on the bottom. The solution will not be effective unless the layers are separated.
Can I apply this to a pimple that I have squeezed?
We don’t recommend applying the Overnight Acne Spot Corrector on popped pimples or broken skin.
What kind of acne does this help with?
Overnight Acne Spot Corrector is best suited for whiteheads, blackheads and surface acne.
What do I do when the clear solution is over but the pink sediment is left?
Overnight Acne Spot Corrector performs at its best when both the pink sediment and clear solution are used together (Layers have to be separate). When either one of these gets over - it is time to buy a new bottle.
Should I apply the "Overnight Acne Spot Corrector" before or after the "Anti Acne Day Serum?
Overnight Acne Spot Corrector can be applied after the Anti Acne Day Serum at night. Do not apply anything on top of this spot treatment. This product should be used as a spot treatment for whiteheads, blackheads and surface acne.
Once used on the face at night, do I leave it to dry overnight and wash it in the morning or should I wash it straight away after it dries?
Overnight Acne Spot Corrector should be applied before going to bed. Let it dry fully before sleeping and rinse it off the next morning with a cleanser of your choice.
Will this product stain my pillow/sheets?
The product should be allowed to fully dry before going to bed. It will not stain the pillows/sheets but a light fallout of the product once it has dried is normal and expected.
How long will this product typically last me for?
Overnight Acne Spot Corrector is good for 36 months from the manufacturing date. How quickly you go through it though, would depend on how frequently you use it and how much you apply. We recommend that you buy a new bottle if either of the two layers get over; the product works best when both the pink sediment and the clear solution are used together.
Is this suitable for someone with sensitive skin?
While our Overnight Acne Spot Corrector is suitable for all skin types, for very sensitive skin, we suggest patch testing this product before use to determine tolerance.
Is it safe to use Sulfur directly on skin?
Sulfur is a safe FDA-approved ingredient. It works to counter acne by reducing the bacteria that cause acne, and it also removes dead skin cells and excess oil. Sulfur is quite safe when applied to the skin appropriately. Products containing sulfur in concentrations of up to 10% have been used safely for up to 8 weeks. We recommend that you do not skip using a moisturiser the next day after using the Overnight Acne Spot Corrector, since Sulfur helps dry out the surface of your skin to help absorb excess oil (sebum). It is important to add back the moisture to your skin as part of your overall skin care to avoid dryness and breaking skin.
What is an acne spot?
An acne spot treatment is an over-the-counter (OTC) acne product or a type of remedy that heals individual pimples. Think of it like a targeted treatment for specific pimples that acts fast in eliminating acne.
How to remove pimple/acne spots?
The best remedy for pimples is a fast-acting formulation that has active acne-fighting ingredients. Overnight Acne Spot Corrector by The Pink Foundry is the product you need for this purpose. Use it every night for best effects.
How to remove dark spots caused by pimples?
You can use an acne dark spot remover to reduce the appearance of the dark spots caused by pimples. In home remedies, you can try using lemon juice or buttermilk on the dark spots.
Do spot treatments make acne worse?
No, spot treatments do not make your acne worse. In fact, an acne spot corrector is one of the fastest ways to reduce the appearance of acne on your face. The right spot treatment can help reduce the size of a pimple and make it less noticeable. In fact, many people find it more helpful than an acne treatment cream.
Why do I get acne on the same spot?
If the entire blockage is not removed, pimples show up once again at the same spot. This is the reason why a treatment for blackheads or acne spot corrector can be helpful. It dries out the blockage to remove it completely.
What are papules?
Papules show up when the walls around the pores start breaking down from extreme inflammation. As a result, you get clogged, hardened pores. You might notice a pinkish tinge around the pores. The best acne spot treatment can help with papules.
How to get rid of papules acne?
The first step to treating papules acne is a thorough cleansing. Use a cleansing product or formula to remove dirt, makeup and other oils from the skin. Work the cleanser gently into your skin, paying attention to areas covered in clogged pores and build-up. An acne spot removal can help clear away excess oil, dirt, and debris in your pores. The second step is making sure your skin is protected from acne flare-ups. This typically involves using an oil-free moisturizer to keep water off of the skin to avoid future breakouts.
How to get rid of pustules?
A dermatologist could help, but you can also use the Overnight Acne Spot Corrector to get rid of pustules. Apply it every day as a treatment and let it dry overnight when your body is mostly at rest: soon enough, the pustules should go away.
What causes pustules?
Pustules are seen when the walls right around the pores start breaking down. These red-colored bumps are usually full of bumps and protrude from the skin. Pustules might have white or yellow heads on the top. An acne dark spot corrector can help with this.
